Schools Iwade Observer and Road Open So the road's open through the village in time for schools to go back but the gas work isn't finished - we've had a meeting to look at the possibility of reviving the Iwade Observer perhaps a quarterly issue the size of The Net magazine - what do you think?

All good meetings take place at Mews or the Woolpack this one at Mews Brews. Watch this space for Christmas What's On coming soon now it's September we can use the C word lol.

Gas Work Not Finished but Road Open!

Road Open but work not finished :-(

Good news is The Street past the Woolpack is open bad news is it's not finished! According to SGN new section of pipe installed but not enough space to carry out the connection works and will be back in some format! Thank you to Iwade Parish Council for keeping us updated watch this space.

New Iwade Village Hall Location

The new Iwade Village Hall is being built at the entrance to Iwade as you come in from the A249 flyover. What do you think of the location? The footings are in and there is daily progress. The old Iwade Village Hall opposite the Post Office will be demolished once the new Village Hall has been signed off so Iwade will not be without and Tinkerbells Preschool will go too and have been told there will be a small garden. Watch this space for more updates as we get them.

Excited for the future of the Woolpack under new management

The Woolpack reopened its doors headed up by new landlady Mel on Tuesday 23rd June 2026 and is ready to serve your drinks and/or food with a spruced up beer garden too. Quiz Nights on a Monday starting 3rd August and register your interest if you fancy Thursday night darts. Regular live music keep an eye on their socials there's live music this Friday 24th to warm you up for Iwade Rock! Dog friendly, community vibe, flowers in the beer garden, why not pop along and say hi

Iwade Friendship Club are a welcoming bunch if you'd like to join

It was lovely to meet Iwade Friendship Club at Iwade Barn this week what a welcoming group of ladies. Would you like to join them? Every other week at Iwade Barn on a Monday from 10.30am to midday just £1 which includes a hot drink. Often a speaker and time for a chat. Keep an eye on the WHATS ON for the next date and pop along you will be made very welcome. You can also join their Facebook group if you would like to.
