Iwade Parish Council has been getting clarification from Persimmon Homes as to what is going to be happening on the playing field at the top of School Lane. Click more to read all about it.

The playing field is currently closed off as Persimmon will soon be starting work on the field which forms part of the drainage strategy for the whole development so it will therefore not be possible to re-open the field. At that time Persimmon will be taking extra security measures to make sure the site is secure.

The field will be passed back to the community and they have a legal obligation to do this by the time the 100th house on the development is occupied. Currently they feel that as a guide they are looking at around 30-36 months until they reach that point. The play equipment there currently will be removed and new equipment installed and Persimmon are also speaking to Iwade Herons FC to arrange the removal of the goal posts.
