Available to local residents aged 60+ or disabled who have difficulty in using public transport, there is a registration fee and thereafter an annual fee to help cover administration costs as the scheme is run by volunteers.
Journeys are charged at a charge per mile with an additional £1 admin charge per journey and the driver will normally be happy to wait with you for a reasonable time. Swale Volunteer Transport Scheme exists to provide transport that enables you to attend essential appointments, including doctors, dentists and hospitals.
Trains

Iwade does not have its own train station however Kemsley Train Station is on the Sheerness to Sittingbourne line and is walkable if you have good legs and flats! Do be careful crossing the flyover however. Sittingbourne station is the nearest mainline station.
